Sad.
Seth Jenkins passed away yesterday. He took a turn for the worse on Friday so his parents made the decision to go to hospice where he passed away a few hours later. You can read about his mother's incredible strength in her post from yesterday afternoon: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sethjenkins/journal. Because of a blood cancer, a 13-year old boy's life has ended too soon. I can't even begin to imagine the hole he will leave in his family's hearts but this is why I continue to volunteer and raise money for LLS. On June 27, I will be racing in Seth's memory. Please pass this story along to your friends and family because no matter how small the donation, it all makes a difference. Research for a cure is being funded but also the patient services programs that your donations help fund can help provide some comfort and support to patients and their families. Livestrong, Seth. Your Team in Training family is still fighting for you.
